Acceptance of these terms
RobloxTakedowns ("RobloxTakedowns," "we," "us," or "our") provides an email-based service that helps individuals document and escalate reports of abusive, fraudulent, or exploitative behavior connected to the Roblox platform. "You" means anyone who visits this website or submits a case to us.
By visiting robloxtakedowns.com, emailing our case intake address, or otherwise sending us a report, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you're using the service on behalf of someone else — a parent reporting on behalf of a minor, for example — you confirm you have the authority to do so.
What the service is — and isn't
RobloxTakedowns receives reports about Roblox accounts, groups, and experiences, reviews the evidence you provide, and — where it meets platform policy or legal thresholds — prepares and submits that evidence to Roblox Corporation's Trust & Safety channels, and to law enforcement where the conduct appears to warrant it.
- We are a reporting and escalation intermediary. We do not have the ability to remove, ban, or suspend any Roblox account, group, or experience ourselves.
- We do not act as a law firm, a private investigator, or a government agency, and nothing we do constitutes legal advice or legal representation.
- The service is currently delivered by email. We may add other intake channels in the future, and these Terms will apply to those channels as well.
Who can use this service
The service is intended for use by adults, and by minors only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who submits or supervises the report. If you're a minor reporting abuse directed at you, we strongly encourage you to involve a trusted adult, and to also use Roblox's own in-app reporting tools, which are built for direct, immediate action.
You must provide accurate contact information so we can follow up on your case. Reports submitted anonymously or with fictitious contact details may be reviewed but cannot be tracked or updated.
Submitting a case
When you send us a report, you're giving us permission to review, copy, store, and forward the material you submit — usernames, screenshots, chat logs, video, and your written account — for the sole purpose of evaluating and escalating your case, including sharing it with Roblox Corporation, law enforcement, or other relevant third parties.
You confirm that:
- The information you submit is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
- You have the right to share any screenshots, recordings, or messages you send us, including messages involving other people.
- You are not submitting a report to harass, intimidate, or retaliate against another user, or to gain an unfair advantage in a dispute unrelated to genuine misconduct.
Keep your own copies of any screenshots or logs you send us. We retain case evidence only for as long as described in our Privacy Policy, and cannot serve as your permanent archive.
Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Submit a report you know to be false, fabricated, or materially misleading.
- Use the service to dox, threaten, stalk, or harass any person, including the subject of a report.
- Attempt to use the service to obtain another user's personal information, private messages, or account credentials for a purpose unrelated to a genuine safety report.
- Send us malicious files, scripts, or links, or otherwise attempt to interfere with our systems or email infrastructure.
- Impersonate another person, Roblox Corporation, or a law enforcement agency when submitting a case.
We may decline to act on, or may report to the appropriate authorities, any submission that appears to violate this section.
Our relationship to Roblox Corporation
RobloxTakedowns is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or operated by Roblox Corporation. "Roblox" and related marks are the property of Roblox Corporation, and we reference them only to describe the platform our reports concern.
We have no special authority within Roblox's moderation systems. Every case we escalate is reviewed and decided by Roblox Corporation, or by law enforcement, under their own policies and procedures — not ours.
No guaranteed outcome
We will make a good-faith effort to review and, where appropriate, escalate every case submitted to us. We cannot, however, guarantee that:
- Any account, group, or experience will be removed, suspended, or actioned in any way;
- Any escalation will be reviewed within a particular timeframe, or at all;
- Roblox Corporation or law enforcement will share the outcome of a case with us or with you.
Decisions about accounts and content on the Roblox platform rest entirely with Roblox Corporation. Decisions about criminal investigation and prosecution rest entirely with the relevant law enforcement agency.
Fees
The core case-intake and escalation service is currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid tiers or expedited review options in the future; if we do, pricing and scope will be disclosed clearly before you're charged anything, and free intake will remain available.
Intellectual property
The robloxtakedowns.com website, its design, text, and code, are owned by RobloxTakedowns or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, resell, or create derivative works from the site without our written permission. Evidence you submit to us remains yours; we use it only as described in Section 4 and our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any report will produce a particular result.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RobloxTakedowns and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, goodwill, or profits, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service, even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Where liability cannot be fully excluded under applicable law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to fifty US dollars (USD $50) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, whichever is greater.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RobloxTakedowns and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights — including a false or bad-faith report submitted under your name.
Termination
We may decline to process a submission, or stop corresponding with you about a case, at any time — including where we believe a report is fraudulent, abusive, or submitted in bad faith. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 9 through 12 — will continue to apply.
Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to that jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, note the change on this page. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
